Mid-days with Jay Allen

Jay Allen 2
Every weekday from 11 to 2 you can catch Jay Allen on WOBL during his “Mid-day with Jay” show. Jay was born in the month of May (he is a Taurus ladies...you were warned). He was born and raised in NE Ohio and graduated from Garfield High School in Akron. Shortly after that, Jay enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After his service was up, Jay went on to attend the University of Akron, and then Ohio Media School. Jay went to the Mississippi Delta for a radio job shortly after school, but could not help but come back to Ohio and join the WOBL family. His first concert was Alice Cooper, but before that he actually sneaked into a John Michael Montgomery show at a county fair in time to see the encore. Being on the radio has been a dream for Jay Allen since he was a kid, and he is so happy to be able to make that dream a reality every single day on the air. One of his favorite artists to interview was Martina McBride. Jay began his radio career at WKXY in Cleveland, Mississippi as a member of the morning show, and then the full time host. For great country music and a good time, tune into “Mid-day with Jay” every weekday from 11am to 2pm on WOBL. How long until Jay says something dumb and sticks his foot in his mouth? You just have to tune it to find out. Is there a song you haven’t heard lately or a favorite song that you would like to hear? Give Jay a shout at (440) 775-1320 or email at jayallen@woblwdlw.com with your request!
